After 14 and a half years, my time at Protech has ended. I’ve learned and grown so much! Thank you for all the memories, challenges, and victories over the years. I prayed this verse over each of you today:

“The LORD will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to, and he will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.” (Deut 28:8)

Blessings,

Susan

Farewell from Al and everyone in the Protech Family

In the spring, some 14+ years ago, we were doing our normal hiring of summer interns for scouting cotton, soybeans, tobacco, and peanuts. Susan Fullerton had applied for one of our summer part time jobs. Susan was from Nebraska. Her two brothers were in the Army, stationed here at Fort Bragg. Susan had a biology degree, a BS in Biology from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Susan started out scouting cotton and tobacco that year. The first fall she stayed on full time to assist Jenn Ortiz, who was my assistant. She later took over Jenn’s position when Jenn and her husband moved to (Washington) DC. Susan continued to take on additional tasks, such as work with our GIS software, FarmWorks, and later, SMS Advanced from Ag Leader. Susan also managed the summer interns during those months when our soil season was over. In recent years, Susan took it upon herself to develop a scouting database in Microsoft Access and made all of our scouting activities become electronic and we did away with the paper stacks that we handled for years and years and years. After 14 years of excellent service, Susan is leaving Protech to become a food safety auditor. Thanks for your dedication and hard work. You will be missed. Best wishes for to a prosperous future from all of us at Protech. Thank you, Susan!
